Jom I Fix Sdn. Bhd. (“Jom I Fix”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting the personal data of service providers in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia (“PDPA”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use the JomFIX Provider mobile application (“App”).
By registering as a service provider and using the App, you consent to the processing of your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy.
Personal Data We Collect
When you register and operate as a service provider, we may collect personal or business data including your full name or business name, email address, phone number, address, identification details such as NRIC or passport number for verification purposes, bank or payment information for payouts, and service-related information such as pricing, descriptions, portfolios, and photos. We also collect technical and usage data to ensure platform stability and security.
How We Use Your Personal Data
Your personal data is used to verify your identity, create and manage your service provider account, display your services to customers, facilitate bookings, process payments and payouts, communicate regarding jobs or platform updates, provide support, prevent fraud or misuse, and comply with legal or regulatory requirements.
App Permissions
The App may request access to device features such as camera, storage, location, or notifications to support service listings, photo uploads, job tracking, and communication. Permissions may be managed through your device settings.
Payments and Financial Information
Payment and payout processing is handled through third-party payment service providers. Jom I Fix does not store full banking credentials beyond what is necessary to facilitate payouts and comply with financial or regulatory requirements.
Disclosure of Personal Data
We do not sell your personal data. Your data may be shared with customers for service fulfilment, with payment processors and technology partners for operational purposes, or with authorities where required by law.
Data Storage and Transfers
Personal data is stored securely using cloud-based systems, including Microsoft OneDrive and related infrastructure. Where data is processed outside Malaysia, reasonable safeguards are applied to protect your data in accordance with PDPA standards.
Data Retention
We retain service provider data for as long as your account remains active or as required by law. Data is securely deleted or anonymised when it is no longer required.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect service provider data. Despite our efforts, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Your Rights
You may request access to or correction of your personal data, or withdraw consent, subject to legal and operational requirements, by contacting us.
Data Protection Officer
A Data Protection Officer (“DPO”) has been appointed to oversee data protection compliance. All data-related inquiries may be directed to our DPO.
Children’s Privacy
The JomFIX Provider App is intended for use by adults only and is not designed for individuals under 18 years of age.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any updates.
